If silence had a beat

People wouldn’t look at me funny

When I dance in the street

To no music.

Instead they’d say

‘Hey, nice moves’

And they would be right to shower me with such compliments

Though on most dance floors I may look awkward and uncoordinated

I compliment that silent beat like no other

Maybe I should just shut up

And dance
