33.       Little red shoes

I didn’t understand why they were here

There’s no kid’s in this house

The shoes are too small for them to wear.

Also, why does a elderly couple with no family have 2 spare bedrooms

One is bare

But the other is filled with excitement.

A rocking horse

Soft toys and board games

Yet I’ve never been allowed to play with them

I’ve only been allowed to look.

Once I managed to sneak in there on my own and mount the rocking horse

I wasent long before they caught me.

I’ve never seen them so mad.

After throwing me out they held each other and cried

I was too young to understand then

But now I think I get it.
